Huawei MatePad Pro: renderings reveal the first punch tablet

The starting point for a new range?
The name MatePad is not innocent. It is clearly inspired by the company’s Mate range, its end-of-year jewels which generally incorporate the most advanced technologies that can be found on a phone. This would mean that this tablet should offer a more powerful technical sheet, able to compete with what should be its main competitors: the iPad Pro and the Galaxy Tab S6.

Besides, you just have to look at the design adopted by the Huawei tablet. Its thin and even edges are clearly inspired by the Apple Pro model, as is the metal frame with the clean sides. On the back, these are two photo modules that should be placed in exactly the same way as on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. And to stay in Korean inspiration, the famous M-Pen would be compatible – a stylus that looks pretty much like the S-Pen from DJ Koh’s company.

But Huawei does not hesitate to add its little touch to the tablet with this punch visible on the panel probably Oled, and which could accommodate a fingerprint reader – unless the company decides to use an unlocking solution facial. For the rest, the tablet could carry a Kirin 990 – which already equips the Mate 30 Pro – as well as 8 GB of RAM. The MatePad Pro would come out in 4 different colors – black, white, blue and orange – and would be compatible with the firm’s magnetic keyboard.
