After reinventing the thermostat in 2011, Nest expands its offering in this market with a new model designed to blend in with any space and help users save energy as soon as they’re installed – the Nest Thermostat E.
With a new design, the Nest Thermostat E retains the features that made the Nest Learning Thermostat so successful. Controllable remotely via a mobile, it integrates a predefined programming of the predefined parameters which normally make it possible to save as soon as it is installed.
The Nest Thermostat E has a translucent display and all the benefits that make the Nest Thermostats famous, but also some new features:
The Nest Thermostat E abandons the sophisticated style of the Nest Learning Thermostat and adopt a more discreet appearance. It has a base, a white peripheral ring and a translucent screen. As for the Heat Link E (the device that controls the start and stop of the heating system), it is covered with a fabric like the Google Home mini.
The brand new Heat Link E replaces your old thermostat and connects to existing wires. It is particularly compatible with electric heating installations already using a thermostat. The Heat Link communicates wirelessly with the Nest Thermostat E, which can be plugged into any outlet in the home. Most users can install Nest Thermostat E in less than an hour, but you can also use a Nest Pro installer .
It has predefined programming, and just like the Nest Learning Thermostat, it constantly adapts and memorizes users’ habits.
The Nest Thermostat E therefore essentially takes over the features of the previous Nest Thermostats :
To help save energy, Nest Thermostat E lowers the heat when it detects that no one is in the house.
With the True Radiance feature, it can turn on or turn off the heater sooner so you always have the set temperature at all times.
You can easily adjust the temperature anywhere, using the Nest app on your mobile or computer, or even voice-activated with the Google Assistant.
