After two months, I’m a little less enthusiastic about the photos that are made in low light, because they are not natural
So sure of the superiority in the night shots of Mate 20 Pro?
It’s been almost two months since the launch of Huawei Mate 20 Pro, which I think is an excellent phone, but which I find in some cases a little overrated.
In particular, I continue to read comments full of immeasurable enthusiasm when talking about night shots, but is it really like that?
Last night I was on the canals in Milan and my eye fell on the wonderful Christmas setting, which makes the area even more beautiful.
I decide to take a shot, while there are two of the smartphones I have in my pocket.
Here is the result of Mate 20 Pro.
How do you think the photo? Beautiful? No doubt not bad, but that’s not what my eyes were looking at, which in front of them had completely different scenery (and lighting).
At that point I fished the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 from my pocket and I took a shot on the fly with that too. The result is below.
That of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is certainly less bright, but immortalizes exactly what my eyes were watching from the bridge on the towpath of the Pavese.
It is not the first time that I have the same perception after a shot. at night, which at first amazes you, but a more careful analysis is overly “doped”.
In short, quality yes, there are no doubts, but without miracles. In some cases, performance anxiety translates into a very excessive result.
This does not change my overall opinion on the new Huawei Mate 20 Pro, which I find one of the best ever on the market, but with a little ‘enthusiasm less on the photographic industry.
Do any of you have a Mate 20 Pro in your hands? What judgment do you give?
